The property, two blocks from Liverpool Street Station and adjacent to Brookfield’s development site at 100 Bishopsgate, has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment to the entrance, reception and outdoor spaces.
The leased area includes the entire first and fifth floors of the building, with an 8,000 sq ft newly landscaped roof terrace on level five.
Brookfield purchased 99 Bishopsgate as part of the Hammerson office portfolio acquisition in June 2012. The 26-story, 339,000 sq ft office building is now 72% let.
Martin Wallace, head of leasing at Brookfield Office Properties said: “This is a significant signing for us and follows a period of extensive investment in the London office property market by Brookfield. It is extremely pleasing to see this investment starting to bear fruit.
“Our focus has always been to deliver the best possible office environments for our clients, whether through the purchase and renovation of existing office properties or the development of new sites. With a portfolio to suit nearly every City-based business and strong pipeline of development property, we remain confident of the long term prospects of the London City market.”
Philip Grace, the CEO of i2 Office said: "i2 now operates from twenty locations across the UK, with eleven offices in London. 99 Bishopsgate offers i2 clients additional choice and it is particularly well located for Liverpool Street station. As with all i2 offices, the building is of the highest quality and we’re delighted to work with Brookfield.”
Brookfield's letting agents on 99 Bishopsgate are Jones Lang LaSalle and Gryphon Property Partners. i2 was advised by JLL.
