Members of The Office Group now have the opportunity to use their memberships overseas through a temporary reciprocal arrangement. This summer UK TOG members will be able to access six co-working sites in New York, Barcelona, Ibiza, Antwerp, Tokyo and Copenhagen, and the members of these co-working bases in turn will be able to access TOG’s UK bases. In June Blackstone bought TOG in a £500m deal but none of the bases affected by the arrangement is located in properties owned by the private equity firm. However, TOG is expected to undertake an expansion into Europe and beyond in the near future.
Charlie Green, TOG co-founder, said: “We’re finding people are working and collaborating more and more while they are on holiday and it makes sense to give people the option to work at a desk rather than by the pool – not that we’re telling them they ought to be working on holiday, that’s for sure.”
